Being a notorious hater… I remember I used to roll my eyes when I saw people thanking the fans “cuz I couldn’t do this without you”.

Not that you should shit on your fans… but honestly… I love music enough that I would do it regardless of whether I had an audience. And I still believe that if more people had that attitude, we’d see more better music.

But if you’ve ever tried to make it at something you love… you understand your supporters aren’t just an ego boost, or a source of groupies.

Without the fans, you might make music. But you’ll be doing it when you come home from work. Tired. Burnt out. Friends asking why you aren’t coming out.

So to anyone who has shown me support… thank you.

I can’t do this without you.
